MRP Reissue


Overview
  • Currently, the MPR is valid for 5 years and it is not renewable like the hand-written passport. As such,MRP should be re-issued once the validity is about to expire
  • Please note that a new MRP will be issued in case of MRP reissue.

>Eligibility

  • Bangladeshi citizen
  • One who has a previous MRP.
  • A Bangladeshi citizen who is not barred to have a passport by any Court of Justice or by the Government of Bangladesh.

 

>Requirements

  • Clear photocopy of the previous MRP.
  • Filled-up “Re-issue Application Form”.
  • Copy of Kuwaiti Civil ID/Visa/Eqama.
  • Bank receipt of deposition of Passport fees. You can also deposit fees to the payment counter in the embassy.
  • For children (below 18 years), 2 copies of recent photographs (passport size with white background) should be attached with the application.

 

>Fees

  • For ordinary workers and students, each applicant needs to pay KWD 9.500 for Regular (Normal) delivery and KWD 30.250 for Express(Urgent) delivery.
  • For Other professionals (Managerial staff such as, supervisors, company representatives or Manduvs, managers, accounts staff, advocates, doctors, engineers, dependent family members etc.) KWD 30.250 for Regular (Normal) delivery and KWD 60.500 for Express(Urgent) delivery. 

 

>How To Pay

Payment is to be made by the applicant in cash at the payment counter in the Embassy. Before going to pay, the applicant must fill up the “Re-issue Application Form” properly and SIGN it on the line marked for that. This form should be produced before the counter during payment.

 

>How To Apply

Step-1:  Filling up the application form

  • You can also Fill-up the form online (Please visit CLICK HERE) and then get a print.

Step-2: Payment

  • Applicant needs to come to the embassy in person to make the payment. For children, parents or authorized person should come with the applicant.
  • Attach photocopies of previous MRP and Kuwaiti Civil ID/Eqama with the “Re-issue Application Form”. For children over 2years, 2 copies of recent photographs should also be attached.
  • Take a token and approach to the payment counter with completed application form.

Step-3: Bio-metric Enrolment

  • From the payment counter, you will be put in a queue for Bio-enrolment. Our operators will take your photograph and fingerprint and also give other necessary entries. After a few moments, you will be given a print copy of all required information being submitted to the passport system. You have the opportunity to make corrections for any mistake, then you confirm and sign it. The operator will finalize the submission and give you a DELIVERY SLIP with a date mentioned for delivery. The whole process of step-3 may usually take no more than 5 minutes for each applicant.

 

Step-4: Done!!

  • You are done. You can now move elsewhere on your choice.

 

>Delivery of Passports

  • Usually it takes 20 days for URGENT(express) and 40 days for NORMAL(regular) delivery from the date of submission. However, unavoidable circumstances might cause delay. Currently it is taking longer than usual. Applicants are advised to follow the date mentioned in the SEAL given on the delivery slip.

 

  • Delivery of Passports starts at 2.00 pm every business day and continues until 4.00 pm. The applicant or a duly authorized person may receive the passport. In each case, the recipient will be asked to produce the original old passport and the original delivery slip at the delivery counter. So, please DO NOT forget to bring the original OLD passport and the Original delivery slip to take the delivery.
  • While the new passport being delivered, the old passport will also be given back to you with an observation seal. Please check your passport before leaving the counter to ensure your passport is the correct one and also you have received your old passport back.
